Many thanks to Edward Troxel, Imran Zaidi and Aaron(dont remember his last name, but the creator of the Zenote' plug ins).
Edward gave a great prensentation on the wonders of Tsunami, Excalibur and Neon, that he and Gary developed. As a user of these having Ed go over them I discovered they are more powerfull than I had realised.
Aaron showed us the Zenote' plug ins and we discussed a few new ones coming down the pipe, such as a movie looks plug that works like Magic Bullet, except render times might be as much as 12x faster! :)
Thanks again to Imran, who allowed us to use his office space for the meeting. He also showed us a short clip of a short film he's doing, shooting w/ a 100a and editing on Vegas, excelent work BTW.

It was also nice to put faces to "screennames", Video Curmudgeon was there with his wife, as well as Fleshpainter,an Orlando resident.
Plus a few others from the DVINFO forum who showed us some their work in Vegas.

BTW , John when I got to my car I realised I dropped my cell phone somewhere, thought about it, then I remember hearing something go clunk when I was checking out the "ASPT" mobile. sure enough it was right next to the seat, took me a moment to rember how to open it though. Pretty cool car!

Thanks for the info, epirb, we're looking forward to meeting many of you down in Orlando too. Tell me....did you have the wild party scene you thought you might see/have?

Spot, well the meeting didn't have as many chicky's slammin shot 's on top of the bar, as the video did. Imrans place is in the heart of it all, and I swear I heard them calling Imrans name begging to come in and get up on the table . :) But we stuck to business and then afterwards Fleshpainter showed ,me a few spot's around ,including the place where the vid was shot. Even as we went by the place where the wils side was shot ,his stuff was playing on the monitors outside!
Being originaly from Chicago I was amazed at how eclectic and diverse Orlando is.
If I didn't have to drive back to the Tampa areathat night, I could have found plenty to keep me busy. ;o)

Imran , I'm looking forward to seeing your whole film Hopefully you will let us all know where we can see it ,or where it's debuting.
I'm sooo jeally-ous that you have the 100a Panny, in addtion to having the knowlege to make its features really shine.!

Might have to come to Orlando The weekend b-4 the VASST & Sony deal just to Bum around. Spot, Imran and all others let me know if you'll be there/avial B-4 the seminars to just hang out.
I think I'll make my reservations at or near the Sheraton where the Seminars are held.
looking forward to the VASST"ly informative Seminar in June!

I'm looking forward to it being done too! Hopefully within the next month. I'm pretty much sure it'll have its first showing at the DMAC I was telling you about (Downtown Media Arts Center) - the new digital independent film theater here. (www.dmacorlando.com). Then comes the long road of submissions to festivals, etc. Wish me luck...

Thanks again!

Eric - Good thing you noticed the phone missing when you did... you'd be waiting 'till Wednesday for it to show up in the mail!
I found the whole affair to be very focused and was up 'till 6am experimenting with as much as I could remember learning about.

Wow, I got back and went to bed so I could walk around Disney all day on Saturday (and Sunday, and later today...)

Glad everyone could make it. I thought it was a GREAT evening.

Although I wasn't able to stay the entire evening, I thought it was great, too! So add another "thank you" to Edward and Imran and Aaron.
