OT: $14 steady cam...

Built one today... inflation's bad... cost me ~$32. :D Luckily camera prices don't work like that!

I just need to get a bigger weight for the bottom, my camera's to heavy for the 2.5lb weight (or a longer pipe).

he sells a kit for $40 - with soft rubber handles and washers ... (grin)...
well, he did about a year ago ... he may have raised his price by now...

Kinda fun to play with ... and worth the effort to learn to use it well if you use one often...

Well, how hard could this be I thought to myself until I tried many DIY steadycam versions. I indeed did learn a lot. I eventually ended up building my final one using the principal by WSCLATER. YouTube WSLATER traxxis joint and see his method. It work very well on smaller cams.
