OT: 1TB WD MB $348 @ JB HiFi in AU

That's 1TB Western Digital My Book from J.B. HiFi.

What a bargain (I hope), due to a mixup in the SKU the version with USB 2, Firewire and eSATA is $348. The one with only USB 2 is $397. I got the last one in the Chatswood store. There might still be some on the shelf in other stores. SKU is 85567.

I just got the 1T eSATA myBook for about US 240. Check B&H. They have eSATA cables for $20 and I got the SIIG eSATA RAID express-card.

Been working in analogue land for too long.
And yes Mike I realise I could buy one cheaper from B&H however there's the small matter of freight and GST.
Just lately though I'm finding a lot of stuff made in the USA is cheaper down here than in the USA just doing a straight currency conversion.

Should mention while I was in that shop I sold another copy of VMS. Poor lost soul nearly got talked into ULead by the salesperson because "it was easier to use"???? That'd have to be the hardest NLE I've ever tried to use, even Ppro and FCP seem simpler by comparison.
