OT: 300GB for $50, 500GB for $99

Drive and laptop prices are dropping. You can get a Maxtor 300GB for $50 here and a 500GB Seagate drive for $99 here.

The $450 Toshiba laptop (after rebate) I bought last month is now down to $400. Hooray for Vista--forcing vendors to dump single-core but perfectly serviceable laptops!

I bought a 500GB WD external HD from Office Depot a few weeks ago for $99. Great deal, and the thing is great for backups.

Canadians can get the Seagate Barracuda for $110 at TigerDirect.
There's also an Ultra 3.5" Mini Portable USB 2.0 / Firewire External Hard Drive Enclosure for $10 (after $20 rebate). TigerDirect for this one too.
The deals end Monday night June 18 though.
