That looked great, like I said over there even better than I expected. I'm not surprised there was no rolling shutter though, I don't think the flashes from the fireworks are as quick as say a camera flash, strobe lights, or police lights which is where I've experienced it. I also find it's more noticeable with those lights when they wash the entire frame.
Also thought the sound of the fireworks came out awesome, had some nice bass for that distance! Was cool to watch full screen.
That came out great. Now I am sorry I didn't go down there to watch it. First time they had it in the Hudson River instead of NY Harbor by the SOL. Judging from the changing volume of the poeple's voice some of the sonic booms may have been clipping the audio circuits. Not sure how camera audio can cope with it. It really rips through the air when you are down there watching the Grucci Brother's displays.
I only once have been in NY on 4th of July back in 2003 and we stood in a place where we could not see the fireworks, because we did not know exactly where it would be, but it was a great day anyway :-)
