OT: 6 ch. color corrector with GPU acceleration

I know that some folks here like the 6 channel color corrector plugin so, when I came across this thread on the Cow Vegas forum, I thought I'd post it here in it's entirety.

I'm updating the Aav 6cc plugin with GPU accelerated processing. This means your graphics card takes over the burden of the plugin instead of your CPU.

I've made a first beta of the new version available at the new 6cc site: http://aav6cc.blogspot.com/

More info and updates can be found on that blog in the future.

Feedback on how well it works on different systems would be greatly appreciated!

regards,
Carl Ådahl ("Aav")

Sorry, but I don't see how it takes the burden from my CPU - when on, my preview framerate drops from 25 to some 17...

Am I missing something?

I guess it depends on GPU type...
I know MB2 previews like a bag of crap when GPU is selected (CPU surpringly previews ok on a quad), but it still renders faster than CPU

My frame rate stayed almost the same and the render time dropped from 01:25 to 00:49 on a short test clip.
My CPU is a QX6700 and my video card is an Nvidia GeForce7900 GS.

Interesting - my GPU is ATI HD 3870; isn't it supported? (same CPU, though).

says on the page: "It requires DirectX 9.0c and a graphics card or onboard graphics chip with support for at least Shader Model 2.0.". Should crash if it isn't working.
