There was a HDV vs Blue Ray version of this that was great.

clever, very, very clever.

i promise to re-work it if 8c still has black or red frames.

For those unaware of the original film, with that outstanding performance by Bruno Ganz: http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2005/02/17/downfall_2005_review.shtmlDownfall (Der Untergang) (2005)[/link]

See the movie and then decide if this is humorous or not.

On many levels, for me, this fails completely.

i agree with grazie that the original film is one of the most profoundly disturbing films i have ever seen, and the performances by the whole cast quite outstanding....

that said, i still think the sub-titling very, very clever.

and yes, i don't think anything is particularly sacred any more.

The link that you posted to the movie sent me down a rabbit hole that may have solved a puzzle, thanks.

It is actually one of the best movies I have seen very touching. My mother was raised during WWII in Germany, so I know many of the things from her.

I'd give it a 5--not bad.

The original movie was a stunning 10. One of my all-time favorites. The creators clearly tried to make Downfall as historically accurate as possible.
