Hi Skibumm101,

Have you tried posting on acidplanet.com? Their forums are more geared to music. Also, try posting on www.craigslist.com. You can post your ad for your city, (under "gigs/creative" for example), you might get someone local that way....

If I knew I was good with music/Acid, I would try to help you, but I know that is not my stregth!

It sounds like you need 18 minutes of original music. If that is the case, why Acid?
Maybe you could specify your requirements and someone or two could email a wav file to you?
and what is quintenterantino/70ish music ?

He is referring to Quentin Tarantino whose early film "Reservoir Dogs" is all set to music from the 70's.

The reason i asked for a acid user is for how quickly a good score can be composed.
we are in such a tight situation with the original composer not contacting us. we have to have this turned in by the 10th. and really there is probally only a total of 5 miutes of time that actually needs to be scored.

I think you should volunteer more information about the project.

Well, It is a 18 minute long film, that was shot in logan utah over the summer. The directors are stidents at Utah State University located in Logan utah. The film will be show at the USU film club festival and a few others. I was the cinematographer and editor. I decided to help becaue i had seen the directors movies before, and they had good ideas, but really didnt have a quality product goes as far as filming and editing. The movie is called "Workplace Violence". Basicly it is a murder mystery set in a office setting. The directors are big quinten tarantion fans, and I shot it with some of the same cinematic lighting and editing effects. We had a musician who told us he would love tent to work on this project. I sent him a final TC copy so he could compose the music. He hasnt returned our calls, and the deadline is Nov 10. The music to be composed was basicly more rock then film score. Like Pulp fiction, with a 70's attitude. anyway thats our little story. We are not begging for free music, but rather looking for someone who has talent but needs experiance. and what a great way to do that by helping for free on a low budgdet film that will be seen.
