Surely, Leslie, you'll be missed. You will be by me.

Any comedian who could make me laugh without having to use 4-letter words all the time is tops in my books.
Enjoy your next gig Leslie.
I hear it's a great venue.

He had a marvelous sense of the absurd and an unparalleled ability to deadpan though silliness. His presence in a movie often was enough for me to know that I'd enjoy it -- comedy or drama.

Very sad to seem him pass.

There's a problem in the cockpit.
The cockpit? What is it?
It's the front of the plane, where the pilot sits, but that's not important.

Very sad indeed for us that he's gone, great actor, good guy.

I will never forget his Airplane and Naked Gun series.

Truly a fine comic and a gentleman.

I heard him a few years ago on a local radio program. Being a good Canadian he wanted to be a hockey player but he was bow-legged, when he got up to speed he said he looked like an egg-beater coming down the ice.

RIP

When I first heard the news, I was almost expecting it to be a spoof!

Farewell Leslie, thanks for so many laughs. St.Peter doesn't know what's coming.

"Airplane" taught me a whole new sense of deadpan humor.

My favorite Leslie Nielson quote (from Naked Gun):
"Your coat, sir?"
"Yes, and I have the receipt to prove it."

Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girl dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Jane: Goodyear?

Frank: No, the worst.

Definitely missed. Many people don't remember him from some of the old movies that he was in. Remember that old favorite "Tammy and the bachelor" ? Walter Brennen was the old grandfather Debbie Renolds was the young girl, but Leslie Nielsen was the (very) young bachelor (I think he was 19 at the time). Definitely a great loss.

If anyone is interested in his leading role skills before comedy, download The Forbidden Planet...
Knowing how he ended his career, the beginning might be as funny now as any comedy he ever made since ... (grin)
