Just being couried some audio to work on from a networks NETIA server, anyone know how these things store the audio.
The files I'm being sent are encoded as MP3, no idea of bitrate as yet, but the worrying thing is I'm told the levels need some serious work and MP3 isn't a good starting point if I've got to dial in lots of gain.
If the NETIA stores everything as MP3 then there's no point complaining, what I get is as good as it gets. However if the system uses something less lossy then if the material turns out to be really suspect I'll feel a bit better about making a fuss.
