OT argg FX-1 troubles !

My FX-1 LCD screen just went on the fritz ! it started the other day when it was in the forward position the screen had white patches or smearing on the screen but was fine when rotated facing back. but today it started doing the same no matter what position.
Dont know if i should partialy disassemble and check connections.
(Out of factory warranty)
i do have one of those Mack warranties for 4 yrs I bought thru B&H maybe Ill just send it in.
Anybody else had this happen?

No problems here, though you probably use your FX1 a lot more than mine. I have the Mack 4 year warranty from B&H also. That is what I would do. No telling if they would honor it if they saw scratch marks on the screws.

I hear they are quick on turnaround.

There is a small strip connector that went bad on my Z1 recently from constant flip open/closed. Was very fast, and around 90.00 for repair. Dunno if that's your prob, but your symptoms sound like mine.

Thanks Yeah that may be it I think I will send it in. I also still have the back foucus issue so Ill have them fix that too. No luck in finding the remote for adusting it and Sony wants $500+ flat fee to fix anything.
MAck wty has 10-15 day turn around.
so after the holiday its too the doc it goes.
Im gonna miss it , good thing I got the A1 back up , beside could use a little more quality time with the little guy...
