OT Azden AZD200

Input please - am adding to my sound gear and I love the idea of a stereo split (two track) receiver with two lapel mikes. This unit has a hot shoe mount (which beats the hell out of my current wireless setup).

But is it any good?
Experience is the best teacher, and a lot of you guys have it.
Not averse to spending more dinero to get the "right" equipment, but I love the split trax and the shoe mount.

Suggestions please?

Avoid Azden like the plague if you want quality. Sure looks good though.

Any alternate suggestions??

It DOES look sweet - tho I never saw a "working pro" with an Azden setup - what do you use for those "run and gun moments"? I'm shooting with a Sony Z1 (incredible machine).

I had a Sony DSR250 for a while - loved it... it came with a short shotgun that was incredible. With the builtin attenuator, I shot in some factories where I couldn't hear myself think - and got usable sound.

The Z1 has a mount for a short shotgun, and I really don't know enough about what's the best way to go.
