OT: Battery Recharge Time

Although not a Vegas issue, I hope someone can share their experience and knowledge.

I've been given several NRG Campak (12v) battery packs to use on a project tomorrow. The batteries are fully discharged. Anyone know the suggested recharge time for this battery. I have the appropriate accessory wall-wart chargers for the units.

I've search the NRG website for the information to no avail. I'd really appreciate someone's input.

Thanks!

Without me having the actual batteries AND the charger I've absolutely no way to even hazard a guess. As a very rough guide, look at the Ampere Hour rating of the battery and devide that by what the charger puts out and add a 50% margin. This works pretty well for lead acid and NiCd / NiMH but can be a long way off for Li Ion, they can take a long time to charge.

farss,

Thanks for the "formula"...I'll file it along with my other goodies. With time being of the essense, I put an 8 hour, overnight charge on them. It seemed to work fine. I appreciate your input. Thanks again!
