Thanks very much to you both.

Another product that looks very promising is Fluid Mask 3. It's a bit expensive, but SEEMS well worth it.

I'll look into all the above suggestions more in depth before I make any leaps, though.
I'll be doing a bit of hair masking, so I'm looking for an easy workflow for that.

Thanks again!

You might also want to check out lynda.com for their tutorials -- they have a whole series and their monthly prices are quite reasonable (and there are a number of tutorials that you can view without paying). I have found them quite helpful for a number of areas including the ones on Photoshop.

I have that and use it quite a bit...but it is not always the best tool for the job.

Fluid Mask as well as Mask Pro (formerly by Extensis, now by OnOneSoftware I think) together make a good set of tools to handle just about anything.

Also, the Magic Eraser in Photoshop is pretty good and is also sometimes the best tool too.

All depends on the image.

Between these 3, that should just about cover it.

I LOVE Lynda.com. They're awesome!
But for hair masking, I've been finding it's a real bugger unless all the stars align, so I was looking for "other tools."

I just watched the demo on Mask Pro 4. Looks very cool.

I'm lazy and poor. I was hoping for one tool that was the Be All, End All, but I guess that was unrealistic. Looks like it's a darn good idea to have multiple tools in the ol' tool belt.

Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions!
