OT: Blurry "3D lines" on GL2

I've noticed lately if I zoom all the way in, or close to it on my GL2 I get a bizarre image. The best way to describe it is like watching a 3D movie without 3D glasses. I subtle lines/halos around edges (I don't have sharpness cranked up or anything), but it's soft and usually a blueish colour. I'm not using digital zoom, only optical. I'm at work right now and noticed it again from some footage I shot. I'll try to post a screen grab when I get home. Anybody else experienced this?

Just a suggestion... lens have a visible/invisible residue on it? Clean with a degreaser made for lens cleaning.... Hope you're lucky!

I think I was okay when I filmed it. It's only when I zoom all the way in pretty much. I did have to clean the lens yesterday and am having a hard time reducing/getting rid of having a "clear sheen" over the glass. I get this problem sometimes with my own glasses and it's a PITA. I find moist lens wipes do the trick, but I'll see how that goes with my camera.

By the way...I filmed with a WD-58 on my lens, but I had this problem before I got that too. I think what I might be seeing is "chromatic abbre..." whatever it's called, or "fringing".

Be aware that some lens wipes and fluids have a wax like substance in them to fill scratches and make the "glass look new".
Some, also, actually leave a residue on the lens, (likely that "sheen" you describe). Lens coatings can be damaged by improper cleaners as well.
I would recommend using ONLY lens cleaners made expressly for photographic lenses.

Chromatic aberration is most likely what you are seeing. There's nothing you can do except keep from zooming in so far. I owned 2 GL2s and it never was bad enough to be bothered by it. I actually own an XH-A1 now and I notice it more than with my GL2.

Interesting.

I use a microfibre cloth you can buy for glasses cleaning (it gets used for nothing else but my cam though) and it usually does the trick. I'm aware of certain cleaners causing damage...I've used various lens wipes (dry) for cameras and they usually suck.
