OT:Building Server - Hardware/Software Recomendation

Hi !
I'm just trying to find as much as possible information about building Server for small bussines.
I've got something on my mind but as always more heads-->more opinions=safe-good configuration.
Any info about hardware/software, barebones, are welcome.

What kind of server you lookinf for? My recomendation is always simple:

Custom built duel PC & Linux. :)

Ya, custom build dual Xeon, Micro$oft Server 2003 Standard, about 2 GB memory, 4 SCSI's hot swapable...
I had a look @ Dell PowerEdge but stil looking...

Skip MS Server 2003. I've seen it. I liked Mandrake 10 (even 9.2) better. Easier to use (hard to belive, huh), less Virus suceptable, stuff like that. More secure on the actual server end too.

Make sure you delete ALL unused accounts though (guest, etc). Hackers like those accounts. :)
