I just got a new burner a Pioneer A107D which is 8 speed. I put a DVD firstly onto a DVD R/W disk using Nero 6 & it played ok. I then copied the disk onto both a 4 X DVD + & a 4 x DVD- and these played ok as well. I had used TDK 4 x discs. After the image had been copied to hard drive it took about 30 minutes to burn on my P4 2.
A friend asked for a copy & gave me a Shintaro disk. The disk says its 4x both on packaging & on disk itself. Nero says that it was burning at 2 x not 4 x. I left machine to make copy & forgot about it. It took just over 9 hours to burn. The disk will play. I would have thought that It might have taken just over an hour. Is this a faulty disk?
