OT: Burning Options

I discovered Screenblast when I was pulling my hair out on the Pinnacle Studio 8 Forum. JohnnyRoy suggested Ulead's Movie Factory 2 to me, and it worked great. Then I got Screenblast 3.0, again, per JohnnyRoy's suggestion. I just finished my first large movie with it, and am ready for mpeg-2 encoding and DVD burning. But now I see the newest version of Movie Factory includes ac-3 support. Does anyone know if this is worth it, in terms of being able to devote the space saved by ac-3 toward a higher bit rate? Would ac-3 present any compatibility issues?

Last time out, I used tmpgenc with toolame audio encoder, then burned with MF2. Is there something better now? (but cheap of course). I might try Cinecraft, have heard it's as good as tmpgenc but faster.

Sorry to ask here, but I didn't see much help on the ulead board. Hoping someone might have an idea.

Well, I answered a lot of my own questions by broadening my search here: there was a lot of info on the vegas and DVD architect boards.

I'd still be interested to know if anyone has used ulead disc creator (movie factory 3) and how well it works for them, especially ac-3.

Best,
