I've been playing around with it....very cool program :)
If only there was a way to export out to video it could come in very handy sometimes.

Using the paid version you can export to video.

Or get creative and use a screen recording app like Camtasia

Alan,

Thanks. I visited my old neighborhood today with it. Found my old house and my high school and even the local music store I used to hang out in. Man it brought back a lot of memories seeing the old neighborhood. Like I said, Thanks!

Google has me real worried. They are like a vast sponge sucking up info anywhere that it may lie. In one case it sucked up and cached some creditcard info that was posted by a hacker (they do this for status among hackers) and the original website was eliminated but the Google cache was not, even after they were informed. In my opinion Google is out of control. I just wish I bought their stock when it was 100 bucks.

For us Brits, you can enter a Post Code so I suspect it will take Zip Codes in the States.

Bear in mind that only the darker areas have any real detail.

For journeys within detailed areas, select the Directions tab, enter the 'from' and 'to' tilt the view to about 30 degrees, click 'Search' and then press the Play button.

Amazing.

Maybe Bush or Rumsfeld should use Google Earth...simply load it up, type in "Osama Bin Laden" and just follow the map.! Would probably work better than their previous efforts.

So when do we get to play with http://mars.google.com/ and http://venus.google.com/ ?
B.Verlik wrote on 7/11/2005, 11:17 AM
Quite a while. They are so worried that another "Face" may show up that NASA insists on sending all Mars photos to only one location where these photos are analyzed in complete secrecy before anybody else gets to see them.
Dan Sherman wrote on 7/11/2005, 4:23 PM
Dowloaded this, but all I get is cross hairs and bubble identifying the location.
How do you "fly'?

Never mind.
I should be editing anyway!
Who started this?

http://moon.google.com/
Yes the moon..... but you must zoom all the way in to see what the moon is made of.
