It's a "legit" deal known as greymarket.
What they'll do is sell you the camera for the listed price.
If you want power supply, manual, cables, connectors, battery, etc, it's all extra. They're not an authorized Canon dealership, unfortunately Sony, Canon, JVC, Panasonic all have to fight this sort of thing from time to time.

Skibumm101:
I do not agree at all with your comments. I have never had a problem with B & H and I did buy my Canon XL1-s from them and everthing came with it.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your input and advice. I'm stearing clear.
Like the saying goes: "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is."
Man, if that was a legit price, I'd have tapped my credit card today!

Did any of you check the website to see what was included with the camera? I did and all of you get the loud obnoxious buzzer.

• AC Cable
• BP-950G Battery Pack
• Color LCD Viewfinder
• DC-920 DC Coupler
• WL-D5000 Remote Control
• D Terminal Component Cable (DTC-1000)
• SD Memory Card (SD-16M)
• Skirt Adapter (PC-A10)
• SS-1000 Shoulder Strap
• Stereo Microphone
• SP-100 Shoulder Pad
• 1 Year Parts and Labor Warranty

I have purchased from them without a problem.

There seems to be some confusion in this thread, the folks at CCI Camera City are the scam artists, B&H is one of the most reputable online retailers.

jkerry; which one are you talking about?

I think this thread has lost the plot!

Someone said the originally mentioned dealer is shonky, trust only B&H in NY which is pretty common knowledge.

And then someone jumps in without carefully reading the original post and leaps to the defense of B&H.

So I think you need to clairfy WHO EXACTLY you are referring to!

Bob.

Yeah... To clarify my original post - which can be interpreted strangely:
I compare all prices to B&H, who are top of the pops in my opinion. They're one of the best, and a milestone by which others should be compared. So I was saying that the other guy's price is SO far divergent from what B&H has, something seemed fishy. If you can beat B&H by thousands of dollars, you're questionable - not bad, necessarily, but "questionable."

OK. I overreacted and I have humbly disconnected the buzzer.
