They are one of the famous Brooklyn Bait 'N Switch stores. A quick Google search found this blog which kind of explains it all. According to the blog they are known for having "some of the absolute worst reviews of any website in the history of the Internet.".

Thanks guys for the words of caution. I think this exact version of the camera is discontinued and has dropped in price. Legit you can get it less than $3000 but $1000 brand new? --- I wouldn't risk it with these guys but some legit guys may soon close this out. I'm watching this as I think the camera is very worth it at $3000.

resellerratings.com is a good resource, but you should take it with a grain of salt sometimes.

Some retailers have a lot of fake reviews, though that's not too hard to figure out.

Amazon is a *great* retailer in my experience (I had a book without a CD and got it refunded and didn't pay shipping), yet it has a terrible review on resellerratings.com... possibly because they don't pay them.

I've found good deals on Ebay. In addition to the usual seller2seller, there are also sometimes closeout or refurb deals.
I just bought a working Mackie Control for $500. w00t.
looks like there are some auctions for XHA1 in the 1500-2500 range.
