Nice find! I just ordered one. Videoguys has them for $480 here in the U.S.

First spotted them in March and recommended them to a colleague who has just ordered two of them. Looks like the ideal thing to extend the life of DV/HDV camcorders.

Has anyone had a hands-on opportunity to evaluate the new Datavideo CF recorder yet?

Good point Leslie. If they were worthwhile, I'd use the recorder with my DVX-100Bs. I'd need three. Money's tight so I want to hear someone rave about how great they are before I jump in.

Apit34356 - what's your experience with them?

Apologies upfront for this being a secondhand report ....

My colleague took delivery of two of the DN60s and had difficulty making them work straight out of the box. A trip to the support site and a firmware upgrade improved things, but he reckons so far he's having better luck with DV than HDV. Yet to be used on a real gig so nothing much else to say.
