Thanks Bob - could be interesting.

I have used www.istockphoto.com a lot most for stills though, but I think they are good and have reasonable prices.

I got a few video clip DVDs from them, not bad but not Artbeats.

But not everything needs to be Artbeats, for example when used as background plates for compositing, which was my use.

I have about five of those DVD's from footage firm. I think those DVD's for $8.41 are the clips that are old and they just give away, because basicaly you are paying S&H on that. If you go to the web site you will see they have other stuff for sale I think it is for DV clips something like 80 dollars and for HD around 149.00

Not too shabby.
I haven't seen the quality or the 'era' that these clips come from but I can see them working for the Budget Conscious editor.

I've purchased several DVDs from Footage Firm, including HD clips. Some are surprisingly poor (not shot on tripods, etc.), but I've found quite a few clips that were and also were in focus, well framed, etc. - that I've used in my projects. A mixed bag, but certainly a bargain

Just got an e-mail form StockFootageForFree, where they give away 500 DVD's with 80 clips on each. You just need to pay shipping.

I don't think you need to be registered or anything to get it.
