OT: Chroma Key Materials and Colors

This one's for Chroma Key veterans....

I am looking for recommendations regarding Chroma Key materials - specifically regarding materials, size and color:

Material - Which do you recommend when choosing among (i) paper, (ii) paint, (iii) non-foam cloth, and (iv) foam-backed cloth.

Size - How big of an area is adequate for a full body shot, for example. (I have a guess but I'm trying to get it right on the first setup.)

Color - Blue, Green or Orange?

Your thoughts, experience and recommendations are appreciated!

Color- Green

Size- You will always wish it were bigger so take what you are thinking of now and double it

Type- I'm a fan of cloth. (easy to transport, can be ironed etc...)

Hello,I,ve been doing lots of experiments.Conclusions:when shooting on minidv the greenscreen needs to be quite exaggerated,so I've found that flouro green to be most successful,either in fabric or signwriters paint.I've used flouro paint on the wall(my loungeroom actually!)and the fabric on the floor if a full body shot is needed.Fabric just from a fabric store nuttin fancy like.good luck.

I actually picked up a bolt of wrinkle-free green polyester knit at Wall Mart for $1.00 per yard. It works flawlessly and now I'm looking for blue in case I do something with foliage in it. I found that it works best if lit with the same type of light source/color and similar brightness as the subject.
