OT: CineForm Connect HD v1.9 release.

David Newman wrote on 8/17/2005, 7:49 PM
More codec enhancements and better CPU support for Connect HD. All existing users should get the free update from http://www.cineform.com/products/ConnectHD.htm

This version fixes the horizontal line issue for AMD base systems (under v1.8); any footage with that error will need to be capture/converted again with v1.9.

Thanks for the update, David. Seems to be running fine so far on our dual AMD. My imagination, or is it faster?

Spot, I expect it is a little faster although unintended as most for the new code is going for more quality.

Vegas 6 currently ships with an older codec implementation, however we do our best to keep Sony Vegas engineering up to date with our latest version. So over time, with future Vegas upgrades, I expect you will get the new CineForm codec. That said there are still plently of reasons to purchase a Connect HD license -- much faster capture/conversions, quality controls, support for CineFrame modes, etc. The list keeps growing http://www.cineform.com/products/ConnectHD.htm
