OT: Cinemotography in Sahara

Wow, Sahara, this movie sucks, but
The camera work and editing in the first 10 minutes or so is worth the rental, stunning stuff . But if you sit through the wholw thing ...I warned you.

Same could be said for many movies, I read the story of how much the DOP put into it, I can see his amazing efforts on the screen and still the thing as a whole sucks, very sad really.

Yes, beautifully shot. Very lame story... never got past the "idea" stage.

However, I had a mentor tell me years ago, "Don't be afraid to watch poorly made movies. That's where you'll learn what NOT to do." I think that's good advice, at least that's what I've told my screenwriting students.
