For Point-and-shoot I have used a Sony DSC-T500 for a year now.
Wanting some new toy to play with I bought the newer Sony DSC-T900.
Both cameras do 1280x720 30p, but T500 in AVCHD Main profile and T900 in High profile.
The T900 was returned the same day I received it...
The "old" T500 delivers a quality like this:

while the "newer" T900 delivers like this (the right part of the video):
http://vimeo.com/5012651
I know that the videos have been edited and uploaded to Vimeo including some conversion - but anyhow the two examples show a brilliant sharpness from T500 while the T900 delivers a very unclear and boring picture. - A difference most of other available samples also show.
Now to the question: Have any of you got good experience with Main/High profile and is the above difference due to the High/Main or is it just the camera T900 that technically is so far behind its predecessor?
