I just got this month's SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers) journal and was browsing through the Honors & Awards section when I came across a picture of Glenn.
He received the Student Paper Award for the paper "Towards Better Chroma Subsampling" at the SMPTE conference in New York last month.
Way to go Glenn !!!

I'll third it.
I'd read that paper some time ago and it must be well written, even I could understand it.

Thanks everyone.

Holy @#$#@$! Thanks... I try to make my writing understandable... a lot of engineering-related material is hard for me to decipher. e.g. intense math, big words, complex sentence structures / formal writing, explanations not clear, etc.

Major Congratulations too!

Glenn, you're a Gent! It was YOU who got me sold on Colour Curves and the "S" curve and the order of PLugs and the Studio<>RGB tango and the . . ah whatever! THANK YOU & Mazeltov!

Seriously Glenn you probably don't realise how much you've helped me. I think I've read all the stuff you've written and all the papers you've referenced. Can't say I fully understood all of it, some of the maths goes over my head but I think thanks to you and where you've sent me looking I've got a workable understanding of a heck of a lot of it. Still more to learn of course, especially the doing part.

This business needs more people like you, I think you've got a great career ahead of you. I also think we don't give enough recognition to the scientists and engineers who've made this moving picture thing work, without them it wouldn't exist.

Bob.

Congrats Glenn, it's well deserved - you're excellent at all of this, and it's nice to see you getting some hard-earned recognition for your work!

Glenn -

You've proven that you're never too young to be smart!

Keep thinking and keep writing -
there are many people who are paying attention to what you've got to say.

You can only lose, if you drop out of the game.

Congratulations.
