Have to send major shout outs to Keith and his students. As a fellow colleague in video and in teaching, I have to say I am very proud of Keith's hard work and effort in educating today's youth.

I absolutely love reading things like this about Vegas users who use this software to make an impact.

Again, congrats Keith on your success.

I didn't know Keith was an educator. Well Kudo’s to you Mr. Kolbo!

I'm thinking of running an after school program for video production at my children’s middle school (8th grade). I want to get the kids to write a script, storyboard it, and shoot it (10-15 minute short). I've never ran anything like this before but Ultra and my green screen were on my list to get the kids excited about it. I will definitely come lookin' for ya when I get started. Congratulations again!

Keith,

I also heard some ivey leaguers' feedback about the Stanford Digital Media Academy Vegas class you and DSE pioneered earlier this summer. Congrats indeed.

Keep up that 'serious magic',

Apparently there is more to the story, and the school district has a stream up of the student's work.

Seems like just yesterday he was asking folks in this forum for donations of any kind of old gear or software. Seems like this school is really turning it around.
Congrats to you, and most of all, to the students for making this thing work in spite of the challenges the budget has faced.

Thank you to all of you. It is a labor of love. The Vegas community keeps me up and at it. There has been an outpouring of assistance from companies like VASST, Serious Magic, Sony, Digital Juice, Rosen Hotels, Darden Restaurants and the list goes on. I wish that I could thank them all. Some have just been supportive with a kind word, or assistance with an upgrade on their product. Others like Rosen and Darden openned their wallets and put $800,000 into our school to help the whole school improve.

We have a long way to go, but we have come so far this year that our heads are spinning. The atmosphere on the campus is different now. It is amazing what can happen when the kids think that they matter to people.

Keep good thoughts going. I guess I should also warn you that we will be hosting a charity benefit this fall (date TBD) to raise some cash for the TV Program. If all goes as planned it will be a hands-on boot camp for DVDA or Vegas taught by me in sunny Orlando. Start saving those nickles for travel money! We are hoping to find some teleprompters this year.

Smiles,

Keith
