OT: Desknotes?

I just found out about these things. They're desktop CPUs in a laptop chassis. No battery, but run on AC power. Much, much cheaper than comparable notebook computers. I'm thinking of getting one for my second editor / network renderer. Asus makes some P4 models and ECS makes some Athlon machines.

Anyone have any experiences or comments on these puppies?

Do you know what kind of prices these things are going for? I can find them online in a few places but there are no prices.....these things have me intrigued now!

Go to www.pricewatch.com and click on the "Notebooks -- No OS" link.

Prices seem to be in the $600-900 range for a P4 2.4 Ghz.
