Owning isnt the same as producing. The way Disney has run everything into the ground, its just a shame to think the same thing might happen to Pixar now as well with Disney at the helm.
i thought pixar wanted to get away from disney. Guess for the right price they wouldn't. :)
Chicken Little was a great movie & disney did that. The Rookie was excelent too. Pirates of the Carabian was suprisingly excelent. Incredibles was defintly worth paying to see it. I liked Haunted Mansion. My son wouldn't stop watching Brother Bear for ~3 weeks straight. Finding Meno was the best pixar movie ever I belive. The Santa Clause movies are great. Remember the Titans was great.
Pixar has only done three great movies 3 great movies since they've starting doing whole movies. Sure, that's about 1/2 of them but they only have a handfull of movies to go by. And don't belive that disney wasn't at the helm. This is most likely a way for Jobs to get extra money to keep apple afloat for a little longer.

Toy Story's 1 and 2
All great feature films and very succesful.
A Bugs Life.
Not my favorite but still a good feature film, and if one considers it the "worst" Pixar film it is still saying something when compared to other studios 'worst' films.
With only 6 features thus far and a collection of awards to go along with them I think Pxar has a pretty great track record for quality. Toss in their shorts and they have won something like 18 Oscars. Add in the TV Commericals and they have Clios as well. I admit I have my doubts about their upcoming film Cars though - just has not sparked my intrest. But I am not a huge car fan either and most racing films tend go past me. (no pun intended)
Last year at this time Pixars stock was around 10 dollars a share less than it is now - in other words Pixar is doing ok for themselves. Also when they split from Disney they did not keep the rights to the films - Disney can go out and churn out all the Toy Story or Nemo films they want. And Cars was in the works when the break happened but it is suppsoed to be (sans any sort of new distribution dela) the last Pixar film that Disney puts out. However - rumor has it that if this new deal goes through one of the items would be the rights to the films are "given" back to Pixar.
