OT: Does your CPU use make audio speed up/down...

When I have Scenalyzer open with some video files captured, and then I open a Vegas project, Vegas will play the audio slowed noticeably down. Sometimes this happens when I open a second Vegas instance, and sometimes with Windows Media player 9 in there as well.

Whatever the cause, I just have to close one of the apps using audio/vdeo mojo, and the audio speed snaps back to normal.

Not a big deal, mostly curious. Is this normal for my setup? specs below

Is there a setting in WinXP that makes a difference here?

Thanks, Greg

Sounds like the system is just being overloaded. I assume the video slows down in syncrhonization with the audio(or perhaps it is the other way around?). I get stuttering audio and video when working with preview in Vegas from an external drive(USB 2.0).

Call me newbie but what's Scenalyzer?

Scenalyzer is a capture utility that provides different features than the utility provided with Vegas. www.scenalyzer.com
