I've edited a film in Vegas using DPX proxies.. Farrs helped me with this a while back. .
I've colour corrected it in AE but only 16 bit and without using the cineon converter The reason I didnt was because I felt it probably wouldnt go back to a film and also keeping the higher log values wouldnt matter However now I'm not so sure and now I'd like to make a film from the edit with no colour correction at all But keep the film in its original logarthmic form.for my archives.
When I render my edited DPX film back to DPX files and no colour correction or anything added, will I keep its full log range by rendering at 16bit without conveting to linear and back again to log.?
