OMG. He was my favorite of all rock drummers. I was....am still, totally a Hendrix freak and I loved Mitch's playing. I always thought he went over most peoples heads as he was that good. I always thought he inadvertently helped spur Jimi to even greater heights than possibly any other drummer could have.
This is really sad.
