OT: DSR-200/Firewire - Please Help!!!

I'm selling my DSR-200 this week and was going through the camera to see that there are no problems. In the few years I've had the camera, I've always used the SVHS out (Y/C) and never tried the 1394 DV In/Out. I tried it tonight and my computer doesn't see the camera. I believe the camera is a 200a, one of the first off the line, but I'm not sure. In my computer, I'm using an ADS PyroBasic DV.
Is there something I should know about the 200 and Firewire?

My JVC GY DV500 works fine (well, not really, but the computer sees the camera). My Sony Handycam is rock solid.

Any suggestions? -mjr

Is i-link enabled on the deck's input select menu?

HEeeyyy...
I hope not! That gives me hope that there is a setting. Right now, I'm at work and that camera is at home, so I'll check later today.
Thanks for giving me a glimmer of light. -mjr

Tried to find what you were referring to, but can not find any Input Select Menu on any of the documentation or the camera itself. I have found that when I plug the Firewire in, the camera does tell me there there is DV In, but the computer (Win XP Pro) and the editing software still refuse to see it. If you can, please write me privately at roddy@juno.com (noone would be interested, I think).

Thanks very much. -mjr
