OT dv capture with scene detect

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any good DV capture software with scene detection?

Sony's VidCap.exe, included with Vegas, does a wonderful job of scene detection based on date/time code breaks.

If you need optical scene detection then take a look at scenealizer.

I have looked at Scenealyzer but it keeps crashing

That's not normal. What are you doing when this happens?
Have you emailed Andreas (Scenalyzer author) with your problems?
He might be able to help you out.
