OT: DVDA3: Unlinking Thumbnails + Text?

Hi all - (btw, sorry for so many questions lately, folks.. here's hopefully one of the last ones...)

In DVDA3, when I drag a clip to the workspace, it gives me a thumbnail with the filename underneath.

I know how to edit/rename the text of course (F2), but, how do I unlink the text + thumbnail so that I can have the thumbnail on the left and text on the right, and have them both still be the same action?

it's basically just a formatting type question, I can't right click and "ungroup" as in Vegas, so was wondering how to position the thumbnail text to the right, while still maintaining it's linking properties?

(I could probably create a separate text button, but that's an extra hassle, I know I'm missing something here, can someone help?)

If I copy and paste, it creates 2 items in the playlist, which I don't want, I simply want the button to be a thumbnail with text to the right, instead of underneath, the thumb..

thx,

ken

Click on the "sizing" tool and then drag the individual piece wherever you want it.

After you have dragged the clip to the workspace, both the thumbnail and filename are selected - click outside of that and you should be able to drag each into a direction you desire

hey thanks Ed! that did it... appreciate it very much... you're a big help...as always.

(let me know if you'd like a complimentary copy of my copywritingu.com or

I sincerely appreciate it... I'm in the middle of preparing 3 DVDs, had to get it
done today, so thanks!

Since it looks like a useful tool, I did preferences/customize toolbar and added it there as well.
