OT: Ever see an episode of Pat Croche, Moving In? Their footage is always blown out looking.

So, there's a show on TV called Pat Croche, Moving In. I don't usually have the opportunity to have the T.V. on during the day, but I did get that lovely opportunity the last few days. (Business is slow at the moment). There footage is always blown out looking, does anyone know what they're shooting with? I know that I've seen them use the glow effect for a few things that can very easily blow out highlights, but it's like everyother shot I see is blown out. Any of you bigwigs out there know if what they're shooting with, or why they would want to do something like this in post? (Cannot imagine why they would).

If you go to this website

http://www.sonypictures.com/tv/shows/patcroce/photos/index.php

and click on the second picture from the left (bottom row) it shows one of his camera guys. I'm not sure what camera that is though.....I'd bet since Sony Pictures has the show that it's probably a Sony....??

Haven't seen the show but wth, I'll make a guess...

Camera looks like an HDCAM with an add-on lcd viewfinder on top (but could possibly be a 16:9 SD IMX). The glow effect is intentional, added in post.

may not have been clear in my statement. I knew that the glow effect was intentional and done in post, but i just didn't understand why they would want to get a blown out look like they seem to do.

Hey, if they like it then I'm gonna be rich cuz I can do it even better with my MiniDV equipment right? ;) .......... well, maybe not :)

Thanks for the attention sony. always nice to know that you guys are looking out over us.
