OT: Field recorders

Has anyone used a Sony D-50? I was going to purchase a Zoom H2 for an upcoming concert, but I really like the sounds I've downloaded from the D-50. One odd issue with the D-50 though: it breaks the wav files it records into 2 GB files. If anyone has used a field recorder that does this, does the recorder miss any portion of the recording when it breaks the audio into separate files? Or do I just drag the consecutive files onto the Vegas timeline once they're uploaded without any issues?

I have the Zoom H2. It breaks them into 2GB files also, and there is about a 15-18 sec lag. I guess it depends on how fast the SD card is.

I record everything in 24bit-48khz 4-channel surround with it. A 1:hr 52 minute recording results in 2 stereo wav files that are 1.9GB each.

You can record at 24bit-96khz, so the single file will be double that size for the same record length. It will try to split unless you control it before the max limits.
