Check out the Bytecc offerings at Newegg. They ain't pretty, but the price is right, and they've never failed me.

My vote goes to Wiebetech after having 3 ADS failures. Have had the Weibetech for a few weeks now and no problems yet.

Yeah, I had problems with ADS thats why I wanted another option. Do those Bytechs have the TI chipset? On Neweggs site they say they only support up to 300gig HD's? I am looking for something to support the Hitachi 400gb HD.

Why buy another "box" just to put a drive in it when you can get a solid drive already in an external design that runs either USB 2.0 or firewire and comes with a five year warranty and a cheaper price from a "name" drive maker plus free included Bounce Back backup software?

Good point BB. External Seagate 400 Gb FireWire is $330 at newegg. Internal 400 Gb drive is is $309 - $329.

Just a minor correction: The enclosures don't have a TI chipset, the TI chipset would be contained on the Firewire interface in the computer, either on an add-in card or on the motherboard. The desired chipset for the enclosure would be those made by "Oxford."
