I've made some hi-res images from some of my animations and posted them as JPEG files for desktop wallpaper or backgrounds. They're free for the taking. I've got seven so far, but more should be coming soon. Enjoy!
Actually i named it that for a good friend of mine, Lesley. Hopefully you'll be seeing her pop up here in the forums once she gets back from her Masters Degree program in England and starts working on some video projects with us.
"Planet Bob" is a rather obscure reference. A free animated backgrounds CD goes to the first person who can post the correct reference here! :)
That was fast. You got it right! Email me chien at chienworks dot com and let me know which disc you'd like and where to send it, and it will go right out.
I generally use a combination of up to 4 pieces of software: Vegas (of course), Micrografx Picture Publisher and Simply 3D, and my own animation software that i've been hacking away at bit by bit.
I might look into some of those, I bought a copy of Truspace as it was just too cheap to turn down but I still haven't had time to install it much less use it and now I sort of have a need for some basic 3D animation. If only we could ctl-drag reality :)
Sadly, Micrografx was swallowed up by Corel and dismantled completely a few years ago. The only remaining part is Picture Publisher which Corel sells in a very watered down version to digital camera manufacturers for them to include free with the cameras. *sob*
Check on ebay for Micrografx Webtricity 2 (definately version 2, version 1 is vastly less powerful). If you can't find that then you want Micrografx Simpy 3D version 3. I've been able to pick up a few copies for under $20 (USA).
