This is an FYI for all of you on the east-ish coast who may be interested in the topic. Since the whole issue of copyright and fair use and sync licenses has come up again I felt this was very relevant.

I recommend this highly, if you can go. They have an excellent newsletter, website, and caselaw references over the internet using students. I wish I could go. Unfortunately, I'm heading west that same day.

I wonder what it would take to get something like this on a tour... probably one of the best seminars anyone shooting / producing video could attend.

Interestingly enough, we floated this idea past several manufacturers and even here in various webforums. No one is interested in paying to learn how to keep themselves from being sued. Bill Evans, a well-respected IP attorney, was willing to do a 2 week roadshow in major cities. No one was interested, further indicating that folks just don't really care about what's legal and what's not. For me, hell, I'd pay 200.00 to be able to ask an attorney copyright related questions for half a day.
