OT: Free online storage

I came across this recently. AMD (yes, that AMD) is also apparently in the business of offering free or low-cost online storage. You can read about it here.

EDIT: For a free account, the total storage space is 25GB but the single-file upload limit is 25MB. For $4 a month the upload size limit is removed.

EDIT2: Okay, it seems that it's not AMD doing the work, but an outfit called Streamload. I don't know what the tie-in with AMD is all about.

The free option might be a good deal. However if you are going to spend $4 per month you can get the home level hosting package from 1&1 and get 100GB of storage plus a domain name, and 1000 GB of transfer volume.

Not to mention all the normal web site features that most hosting packages come with.
