OT: Full HD and Warranty VS 8mb Cache. Help. :)

Hi all,
I am finally ready to make my new laptop purchase. I have spent a few days looking at everything. I have found two that seem to take the cake. I have to choose between these options though.. same price. Please Vote 1. or 2. and explain why. Thanks a million.

1. Full 1920x1080 display with a two year, 1st year accedent protection warranty. 6MB L2 Cache

2. 1600x900 (I don't really care but it would seem important if I will be editing HD). 1 year parts and labor warranty. but.. 8 MB of cache over the 6 MB of Cache of the one listed above. I had once been told that the L2 cache is the most important feature for Video editing (here, I believe) but I don't know which to chose.

View some of your own HD on both laptops and choose the one that looks best to you. You are going to be spending a lot of time looking at the screen.

Good point, only both of them are only available online. I wish I could go into a store and actually see one of these beasts....

Hi Ice

I think this one looks just great too.

You have big screen, full HD, 2 harddrives at 7200 rpm, good ventilationa at the back.
I don't think the 2 mb less L2 cache will matter.

In the other notebook there seems to be only 1 big (1TB) drive inside. I would for sure prefere 2. I just build another drive into my HP notebook in a drivebay that fits the place of the CD/DVD and I love the two drives. I have an external DVD writer now and that's fine.
You dont need that because of the 17" size.

I think I would jump all in if I were you. Good luck! :-)

Thanks for taking the time to look at both of those Ulf. Sure appreciate it. I fully agree that the two hard drives is a big think... they both actually have to (the same 500 7200rmp x2), the BestBuy add just doesn't list it like that.

thanks for the advise.
