Hi al,
this probably is a dumb question, but I have just got my new, very basic MiniDV camera and was wondering how or what is the best way to start getting footage (I know, I know, first turn the camera on, put a tape in it and press record LOL)

But realy, aside from those that already work in this area and have specific shoots to get like, weddings, commercials, presentations etc, for us just starting out as a hobby, with future plans of making some money from it, what do you shoot when you have no weddings etc to shoot?

I had already thought of getting some willing friends along to act up in front of a green screen then making something of that, but aside form that, where should I begin? I am having a cerative BLOCK! ;)..
