OT: Glide OS

Has anybody had any experience with this? I saw it on dealnews.com today and they are giving away 30 gigs of free storage. I checked it out as I was wanting to use it to store files online as an additional backup. However, after I read about it and signed up... well, it is basically and online operating system er, a cloud-based operating system. It requires the latest version of flash and looks pretty sleek. It is still a work in progress however.

It is accessible via mobile phones and computers running on mac software, linux and windows. Seems like a neat idea but from day to day I don't know why I would have a real use for it. I use logmein.com. Even though I know they are two different pieces of software, I can do what I think Glide OS is trying to do, but I can have access to all of my information just by using logmein.com.

Anyone else have any experience with this? Again, it seems neat, but more of a novelty than a need.

Edit: Forgot to put the link.

Well, of course it WAS the WonderwoMAN that totally "gripped" my attention! - All that chest hair? Mmmm, nice!

Seriously? $5/month for storage above the freebie is where they are trying to get their revenue - good for them. Do I think there will be a freebie by the Google empire, for free? Could be coming along. Do I think there will be "other" storage" App options downstream? Oh yes . . . . we ain't seen nothing yet . .

Just popping back to see WonderwoMan again . . .
