OT: Good island/hawaii stock video footage?

Hi - anyone know where to get great island footage?

I'm looking for video buyout stock footage I can use in chromakey (ultra) that's 720x480 and at least 30 seconds loopable, as a background for a new video I'm making...

any ideas on vendors? many of the video background footage sources have just non looping 5-to-20 second type footage ... I'd like to find something longer..

so far the best place I've found is www.gotfootage.com .. looking for others... any ideas?

I should've shot a bunch during the 11+ years I lived on oahu before I moved here to the mainland a coupla years ago.. ah well...

(hey that's a good tax-deductible reason to go do a video shoot in hawaii this summer .. :p but in the meantime, any ideas?)

thx,

ken

Charlotte company but the owner/shooter lives most of the year in Hawaii, figure he must have some island stuff.
Used a few of their clips and they are excellent.

Artbeats has a lot, but you might want to contact Stewart002 on this forum, he lived in Hawaii until just recently. I know he's got a ton of stock, because I've used some of his media. All DV though...
I've got a bunch of HDV and F900 footage if you could describe what you wanted.

Hi Spot, hey it's great to hear from you again, hope all's well! I don't want to trouble you, I know you're busy, but thanks anyways for your kind offer... you're likely as busy as I am ... will do re contacting stewart002 ...

I'm looking for footage that's would provide a professional looking "moving backdrop" to coaching videos ... like Tony Robbins has on his videos ... for me to use in chromakey ...

I miss Hawaii, lived there 12 years, I know Oahu like the back of my hand ... I should just go out to kailua beach or waimea valley and do a shoot ... it would be tax deductible as a business expense :p

from gotfootage, my favorite shots are:

http://www.gotfootage.com/gf/store/node/viewer/qs/hawaii/type/quick/qt/any/pg/5

#A127-113

and here:
http://www.gotfootagehd.com/gf/store/node/viewer/qs/hawaii/type/quick/qt/any/pg/6

HD020-028

I may just get those two, though they're not exactly what I'm looking for... tallked w/a guy at the company, sounds ok.

That's a terrific business model too, doing tropical location shoots everywhere and then selling video clips, as it's tax deductible and high-margin :-)

I'm looking for something with two levels, eg tropical plants right behind the speaker, midground, and ocean in the distance.. like

http://www.gotfootage.com/gf/store/node/viewer/qs/hawaii/type/quick/qt/any/pg/1
A071-162 is somewhat close.

nice footage on the sites to look at..

Ken,
Be glad to send you what I have. Check out my site on the samples page (scroll down toward the end) to get a sample. The good stuff is shot with my PD-170. I have some shots of Diamond Head (when it's green) and Waikiki that I like to use for backdrops. Also have some pretty good sunsets. Drop me a line stewart dot randy at gmail dot com.

It ain't all that great but I can offer some footage I shot last June while I was there (it's very vacation grade stuff but some is OK for stock use).

I'm not looking for $$$ - like maybe free for crediting me if you use it.
