I normally do not make recomendations for on-line companies regarding products because of all the usual problems that can crop up...Having said that however, everyone it seems is always looking for good, inexpensive replacement or extra batteries for laptops, camcorders, cameras, etc. I'm no different in that regard.
As it turns out, I needed a replacement battery for my Sony Vaio laptop that after about 2-3 years just wasn't holding a charge anymore...Li-Ion batteries do have a finite life...After a good deal of searching around, I happened upon a site that had the exact replacement for roughly half of what it cost anywhere else...Sony doesn't even list it on-line...I figured, what the hell...Nothing ventured, nothing gained; so I ordered the battery. It was as advertised, the exact replacement battery, and worked perfectly...It was even recognised by the system as a Sony battery.
After about 7 months, the battery suddenly quit taking a charge...I figured, that's why it was half the price...Remembering however, that the site stated that all batteries are warrantied for a year, I decided to put them to the test...
I contacted them, and explained the situation, and after trying a couple of their suggestions to verify that it was the battery that was bad, they issued me an RMA numer for me to return the bad battery...
The only charge to me was the cost to return the bad battery to them...No pro-rated fee or anything...They just replaced the battery with another, brand new, exact replacement. Overall, from the time I sent the old battery back to them to the time I received the replacement was about 10 days...Snail mail of course...But I expected that...I could have paid for ovenight shipping if I had wanted to...
At any rate, I was pleased with their product, and even more pleased with them honoring their warranty with no BS about it...So, I thought I would mention them here...Here's a link to their site...
