I saw a working product at NAB two years ago.

Pricey, but easy-to-carry gear for location shooting.

Reflecmedia is wonderful, and even better now that they're paired with Ultimatte. Ultimatte needed Reflecmedia more than the other way around, but the pair make a great team, IMO.

I have used it before and is great but very pricey.

If you want to buy the material you can get it at rosebrand.com.
I have a square foot I could sell you for testing. You truely need
to use light rings with the product as it is very directional.

Thanks for the offer. As far as I know 3M supplies it here in Australia. Yes, its very narrow angle of reflectance is the thing that makes it work. Still thinking about the comparative benefits the technique.

The light ring is the easy part. I haven't found a source in the USA for the cloth. I'll send Rosebrand an email.

Here's their link to pricing page:

You can order the material hemmed or unhemmed.

The light ring I made has 4 LEDs in a group for 12 volts source.
If you need a source for a constant current power supply let me know.

That the cloth can be folded up for packing is a great feature, but if you're not needing that then Scotchlite might be cheaper. But I haven't found a price for that.
