OT: Groundhog Day today

Has anyone heard which way Punxsutawney Phil turned this morning, predicting whether the next six weeks will be cold or not?

Or do we have to wait for the Congressional Record? (That's not a joke, btw. This is recorded every year.)

In SoCal, a lot of air conditioners are running at full tilt during the day, but night temperatures have been in the 40s, which is a problem for city slickers who don't have city wear for those temperatures.

I think I need to go to storage and pull out my Guy Noir trench coat...

I gotta get some coffee.

The internet came to the rescue.

Naturally there is a Groundhog.org web site, and it gives the answer.

Hint: if you live in Kentucky, don't bother looking.

So, in London we only get 12" of snow and the City grinds to a halt - PATHETIC!

Grazie

It's heading for 28 degrees here in Sydney today... oh hang on that's Celsius ... somewhere around 82 degrees Fahrenheit.... but then again we don't have groundhogs ;-}

Sorry I couldn't resist the opportunity, hope your cold snap is over soon!!!

I think we currently have ~2.5' of hard packed snow/ice. :/
